I’ve always been a kind of cave person – happy in the darkroom, happy in every conceivable space I have turned into a camera obscura. No matter what medium I’m working in – camera obscura, painting, printmaking or when I'm creating pieces as part of my time travelers series – it is the interaction between space and light and time that moves me to my core. How to capture and express the visual mysteries of everyday life? How to translate the physical world to reveal the inner, non-literal and non-linear vision of reality? How to make memory visible? These are the questions I continually ask myself.
